Bereits die erste SET4FUTURE Research Factory bei dem spanischen Technologie- und Forschungsinstitut eurecat in Kollaboration mit dem spanischen Bahntechnikcluster railgrup war ein großer Erfolg. So wurde hier der Grundstein für das spätere Shift2Rail 2019-Konsortium CARBODIN gelegt. Weitere Beispiele folgten: So führte der Besuch der University of Birmingham zu binationalen Projekten im Bereich „Alternative Antriebe“ und die virtuelle Projektwerkstatt mit dem Fraunhofer IIS/EAS zu einem FuE-Förderantrag. With this transfer format, the exchange with other sectors is specifically sought in order to break through old thought patterns, get to know new approaches and thus create a breeding ground for innovative solutions for one's own sector. „Luftfahrt trifft Bahntechnik“ / “Aviation meets railway technology“ Im Rahmen der Online-Auftaktveranstaltung, durchgeführt im Sommer 2021 in Kooperation mit dem Kompetenzzentrum Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik Sachsen/Thüringen (LRT), widmeten wir uns ganz dem Thema Leichtbau und der Frage: Was können Bahn- und Luftfahrtindustrie voneinander lernen? Erstmals verkehrsträgerübergreifend gedacht, konnten eine Vielzahl von Themenfeldern identifiziert werden, bei denen sich ein näherer Blick für beide Seiten lohnt. As part of the online kick-off event, held in summer 2021 in cooperation with the Competence Centre Aerospace and Space Technology Saxony/Thuringia (LRT), we devoted ourselves entirely to the topic of lightweight construction and the question: What can the railway and aviation industries learn from each other? For the first time, we thought across the modes of transport and were able to identify a large number of topics where it would be worthwhile for both sides to take a closer look. „Holzindustrie trifft Bahntechnik“ / “Wood industry meets railway technology“ Im Rahmen des Veranstaltungsdebüts im September 2021 haben wir eine erste Annäherung der Holzbranche und der Bahntechnik erreicht und konnten einen ersten Einblick in die Möglichkeiten, aber auch die Herausforderungen eines Einsatzes von Holz im Schienenfahrzeugbau vermitteln. Die Veranstaltung wurde in Kooperation mit dem sächsischen Innovationscluster im Bereich Forst – Holz – Papier LignoSax und in passender Location, im neuen Konferenzgebäude des Instituts für Holztechnik in Dresden, durchgeführt. The event was held in cooperation with the Saxon innovation cluster in the field of forestry - wood - paper LignoSax and in a suitable location, the new conference building of the Institute of Wood Technology in Dresden. „Bergbau trifft Bahntechnik“ / “Mining meets railway technology“ Bereits zum siebenten Mal lud im November 2021 Rail.S zusammen mit dem GKZ Geokompetenzzentrum Freiberg zur Gemeinschaftskonferenz „Bergbau trifft Bahntechnik“ nach Dresden ein. Im Fokus standen die Zukunftsthemen Mobilitätswende und Rohstoffsicherung und die damit verbundenen Herausforderungen für den Freistaat Sachsen. Auch das Großtunnelprojekt Neubaustrecke Dresden-Prag stand auf der Agenda. Neben dem Planungsstand wurden dem interdisziplinär besetzten Teilnehmerkreis auch die Innovationsbedarfe im Umsetzungsprozess solcher Großbauprojekte dargelegt. For the seventh time, Rail.S and the GKZ Geokompetenzzentrum Freiberg hosted the joint conference “Mining meets railway technology” in Dresden in November 2021. The event focused on the future topics of mobility transition and securing raw materials and the associated challenges for the Free State of Saxony. The large-scale tunnel project for the new Dresden-Prague line was also on the agenda. In addition to the planning status, the interdisciplinary group of participants was also presented with the innovation requirements in the implementation process of such largescale construction projects.
